| I will never eat cheese again!!! "James" 49ers Paradise Fan Press 12.18.2002 Well you can all officially call me the village idiot. I did it again. I made a predcition that in no way shape or form held any water whatsoever. As a matter of fact not only did it not hold water it only served to prove how inept I am at even knowing the game of football. I have many more years to go before I can even be considered in the same arena as say a Ron Jaworski or a John Clayton. And that's just sad cause those dudes are goons. I mean look at Clayton, he looks like he should commentating tennis matches for the Special Olympics. As for Jaworski, being a former player does not automatically make you sports analyst material. (See Bill Walton for any basketball fans out there)This is the same guy who a few weeks ago said that the Rams would win out the season and be playing the 49ers for the NFC West title on the last game of the year. Well, hence that did not come to pass but gosh maybe he's right about his thought that the Packers are going to come from behind the Bucs and the Eagles and take homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Stay tuned for that one. I have not heard to many of his other predictions but I will say this, if the Pack does not gain homefield throughout then ol' Jaws' record this year can be no better then 1-92, the lone correct assumption was that the Bengals would not make the plyayoffs. Again, tossing the pigskin in the NFL does not an expert make. Now as for my desolate and pathetic existance goes, I am the laughing stock of a community. I have no business even being here with all you fine people. In fact I have no business calling myself a 49er fan. Twice, not once but twice I have doomed this team to a loss against Favre and his sorry little band of misfits. Hell, and that's jusy what we know about. The number is probably much higher... whoever makes the decisions about where the ball bounces and how the cookie crumbles must be looking at me and basing their decisions on what I do. What other explanantion can there be for what happened yesterday? As Garcia was leading the team into Green Bay territory I had visions of Steve, I saw him completeing the twenty-five yarder to Terrell with three seconds remaining. I saw the comebacks of 49ers past. When we got to the fourteen, somehow I knew that we were going to score. I felt it in my blood and in my heart. First and ten... "Run Jeff run!!! You can get the first!!! Oh Tai was in, he was in!!!" On second and ten... "A run up the gut by Garrison, are you kidding me?!!!" On third and seven... "Oh great another ball that hits an O lineman!!!" On fourth and ten... Well I was wrong, just as I was wrong about the 28-24 49ers win I predicted last week. Just as I was wrong about the playoff win last year that I said would happen. I am done. No more predicitons ever again from me. Do not come to me and say, "James who do you think will win the game this Sunday?" Cause I will look back at you and reply with something like... "I don't know, the Cavaliers?" I will not put myself in a position to be ridiculed ever again. Escpecially when the team that I am predicting will win has not a chance in the world and has even less chance of getting out of the first round of the playoffs this year.
