Playoff Picture

AFC Champion -
Eric - Colts - This team has the offense, defense, special teams, coaching staff, front office, water boy, cheerleaders, and fans to get to the big dance. With no big threat in the AFC, Peyton's time to become a leader has arrived. He has all the tools around him to build a Super Bowl team. James at running back, the most explosive WRs in the AFC, solid defense, exciting KR. This team has disappointed in the past, but with the additions in this years draft, this team is set and ready to fire.

Curt - Titans - While I agree that the Colts have everything they need to get to the big show, they are missing one important thing: a post season win. I think the Colts will make the AFC championship game, and will be a team to be reconed with, but the time for the Titans to shine is now. The scary thing is, they know it. The division is theirs for the taking, and they only have to make one or two small changes to get there. Their offensive line needs to give McNair more time. Without time, he'll be running and hurting himself again. Same with Eddie George. If he feels he has to compensate for the line, he'll be hurt too. The other thing that needs to happen is the WR's need to pick it up, and not get hurt. I know you can't change weather or not you get hurt, but that's what they need to attempt. If they stay healthy, the "Mighty, mighty" Titans will dance in January.

NFC Champion -
Eric - Tampa Bay - Is it possible for the best defense in the NFC to get better? Well, they weren't compared to the defense of Baltimore's last year so…yes, it is possible. And now, on paper, can be compared to the Raven's of last year. This defense, excuse me, this team went out into free agency and brought in some very key acquisitions, but don't compare it to Washington. Unlike the Redskins, though, the Bucs filled needs and brought quality, not just any old big time name. Then you have the offense, where as I said, Keyshawn is going to get the damn ball. As a matter of fact, everybody is going to get the damn ball. Shaun King is ok, but he looked scared out there. Johnson brings confidence behind center and leadership.

Curt - Tampa Bay - Well, Eric and I agree here. Brad Johnson may not be a "super bowl" quarterback, but the difference between him and Shaun King is the difference they've needed to put them in the big show. They came close a couple of years ago, but didn't quite make it because of a rookie QB. They made the "average" defense of St. Louis look much better than they really were. And even with St. Louis' changes, they won't be able to stop the power Tampa has amassed. Now, the Bucs have a QB that can hit those long routes to Anthony and Key, and the load is taken off of Allstot and Dunn's shoulders. Tony Dungy just saved his career in Tampa.

Where we agree -
Eric - All in all, Tampa Bay's defense alone could win the Super Bowl against the Colts. The Bucs offense will be thrown in there to give the fans who love points something to cheer about. Tampa wins the Super Bowl by a huge margin, then begin shaking as they see a young and very talented, rebuilt and retooled, San Francisco 49er team hungry for the Bucs in the 2002 season.

Curt - I agree, the Bucs have it wrapped up if Johnson plays like everybody knows he can. If I'm right and the Titans make it in, it will be a much better game because of the tougher defense, but the Bucs will come out on top still.
