| Does the Mooch have the right battle plan? "By KWS" 49ers Paradise Fan Press 11.02.2001 In a battle you never stop to take a knee when you have a chance to advance to victory. If you do stop to take a knee you might as well stay there and wait for the loss. In the game of Football, a battle strategy and the psychology that accompanies it are of utmost importance. If a leader uses a less agressive battle strategy the psychological result will be a less agressive football player. This will often result in a loss due to many variables created by the less agressive psychology that the entire team experiences. When teams are coached with the killer instinct for 4 quarters the agressive team psyche lasts for 4 quarters.
With that all said. Coach Marriucci better get a grip on his game
philosophy and come up with a battle strategy that never lets up or I think that
many in the fan base will be calling for his head. If the run is not working when
you try to run at two giant tackles that make up the number 2 rush defense in the
league you go to your big guys through the air. Last Sundays debacle against
the Chicago Bears was plain horrible and there are many reasons why I put
the blame of this one right on the coachs. The hardest part for me to stomac
though was the knee with 29 seconds and two time outs. That set the mood
for the team to choke and lose. I remember the Miami Dolphis this year against
the Raiders. They took no kness and won in the final seconds.
