| San Francisco's first round pick "Cory Rivera" 49ers Paradise Fan Press 04.06.2002 With the free agent signings of Tony Parrish and Sean Moran, the direction of the 49ers first round pick has become a little clearer. The Niners could go for guards like Andre Gurode from Colorado and Kendall Simmons from Auburn or tackles like Mike Pearson from Florida or Marc Colombo from Boston College. Offensive line may become less of a need if the 49ers sign Saints guard Chris Naeole, who has made a proposal to the team. They also could go for a second reciever to compliment Terrell Owens. If they go in this direction they could draft Josh Reed from LSU or Florida WR's Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell.
The more likely direction for the first pick will be cornerback. The likely picks could be Lito Sheppard from Florida, Mike Rumph from Miami, or Derek Ross from Ohio State.
