The Unanswered Question

As Training Camp nears, it has come the time to find out if the team truly is better than last year. Even though everyone has focused so much attention to the defense as being the most important factor for a possible Super Bowl run, I think there is an area that still is in question. That would be the 49ers ability to strike quickly, specifically with speed, on offense.

To me, the fact that the Niners still do not have that game breaking player to complement T.O. on offense, bothers me. It just seemed that at times last season, when the Niners needed a momentum changing quick strike, it wasn't there. Now, I understand that The 49ers won some last minute games ( I.E.- Atlanta in overtime) but in the truly big games of the season, there was no sign of a John Taylor breaking a pair of 90+ yard catches.

What I mean is, it seemed that when a big game arose, the NIners did not have enough Big Game Weapons. I still don't see it. Other than Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens, do we have any? Here's hoping that Barlow or Johnson emerges as that player. Because until someone other than T.O. breaks an 80 yard run against the Rams or Packers, we aren't beating them.
